Motorcycle insurance ensures you have the proper coverage as you ride.

Motorcycle insurance enables you to select the coverage that you need. The available coverages include Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability, Roadside Assistance, Medical Payments, and more. You can protect yourself and your motorcycle with the following types of motorcycle insurance coverage:

Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability (BI/PD) — BI/PD covers you should you be at fault for a collision that injures another person or damages someone’s property, up to the amount you select.

Comprehensive & Collision — Motorcycle insurance, purchased through a reputable Dallas agent, will pay to repair or replace your motorcycle if it’s stolen or damaged in a collision, regardless of who is at fault. For each of the two coverages, you select how much deductible that you will pay out of pocket. The insurance company will then pay the difference up to the fair market value of your motorcycle.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) — When a person is at fault for a collision and they do not have insurance or not enough insurance coverage, Uninsured and Under Insured (UM/UIM) will step in and pay for your injuries and damages to your motorcycle that the at-fault party is legally liable for, including medical treatment and lost wages. The amount paid is limited to your policy limits.

Medical Payments — This coverage provides for the cost of necessary medical care you receive as the result of a motorcycle accident and can be used regardless of who is at fault. Medical Payments may be limited to medical treatment received within the first three years after a collision and is limited to a specific dollar amount.

Custom Parts & Equipment for Your Motorcycle — Comprehensive or Collision motorcycle insurance coverage will typically pay up to $3,000 of Accessory coverage for those custom parts and equipment that make your bike so unique. You may increase this coverage as you feel necessary to insure additional and particularly expensive bike accessories.

Roadside Assistance — If your motorcycle breaks down, Roadside Assistance / Towing will pay to tow it to the nearest qualified repair facility. Realize that this coverage is frequently limited to a dollar amount maximum you’ve chosen. Some policy’s Roadside Assistance will cover the necessary labor costs at the place of breakdown when your motorcycle is disabled due to any one or more of the following:

  • Mechanical or electrical breakdown.
  • Dead battery.
  • Flat tire.
  • Lockout.
  • Insufficient supply of fuel, oil, water, or other fluids.
  • Entrapment in snow, mud, water, or sand within 100 feet of the roadway.
